Privacy Policy
What our apps and this website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. Who we are
GamifyApps is an independent mobile application developer. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" refer to that business, and "you" refers to a user of our apps or this website.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Our full contact details are in section 16.
This policy covers every mobile game and application we publish on Google Play and the App Store, and the website at https://gamifyapps.com. Individual apps may have their own, more specific policy; where they do, it governs that app. TV Remote is covered by the policy at gamifyapps.com/apps/tvremote/privacy.html.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Support correspondence — your name, email address and anything you write when you contact us for help
- Optional account details — where an app offers sign-in to sync progress, a display name and the email address or Google account identifier associated with it
- In-game profile data — a nickname or avatar you choose, and any leaderboard entries you opt into
2.2 Information collected automatically in our apps
- Device information — device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen size, language and country setting
- Advertising identifier — the resettable Google Advertising ID (GAID) or App Set ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS where you have granted permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, used for advertising and analytics
- Usage and gameplay data — levels started and completed, session length and frequency, in-app events, feature usage and progression
- Diagnostics — crash reports, stack traces, error logs and performance measurements
- Approximate location — a coarse country or region derived from your IP address, used for content rating, currency and ad targeting. We do not collect precise GPS location
- IP address — processed transiently by our service providers for security, fraud prevention and geolocation
2.3 Purchase information
- Purchase confirmations — the Google Play Order ID or Apple transaction identifier, the item purchased, the amount, the currency and the timestamp, passed to us by Google Play Billing or the App Store so we can deliver the item and handle refunds
3. What we do not collect
To be explicit, our apps never collect:
- Payment card numbers, CVV codes, expiry dates or bank account details. Google Play Billing and the App Store handle the entire transaction; that information never reaches us in any form.
- Precise GPS location.
- Your contacts, call logs, SMS messages or emails.
- Photos, files or microphone audio, unless an app explicitly asks your permission for a specific feature and you grant it.
- Special category data such as health, biometric, religious or political information.
- Government identifiers such as national ID or passport numbers.
4. Why we use your information
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Run the app and save your progress | Device info, usage data, optional account details |
| Deliver and restore in-app purchases | Purchase confirmations, Order ID, account identifier |
| Show advertising and measure it | Advertising identifier, coarse location, device info |
| Fix crashes and improve performance | Diagnostics, device info |
| Understand which features are used | Aggregated usage and gameplay analytics |
| Answer support requests and process refunds | Support correspondence, Order ID |
| Detect fraud, cheating and abuse | Device info, usage patterns, IP address |
| Meet legal, tax and app store obligations | Transaction records |
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the app, save your progress and deliver purchases you have paid for
- Consent — for personalised advertising and any non-essential analytics. You give this through the consent prompt shown inside the app, and you can withdraw it at any time in the app's settings
- Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, crash diagnostics and basic aggregated product analytics, balanced against your privacy rights
- Legal obligation — to keep transaction and tax records for the period the law requires
6. Advertising
Our apps are free and funded by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks, which may use your advertising identifier and coarse location to choose which ads to show and to measure whether they worked.
The networks we work with may include:
- Google AdMob — privacy policy
- Unity Ads — privacy policy
- AppLovin — privacy policy
- Meta Audience Network — privacy policy
Keep this list accurate for the SDKs actually present in your builds — Google Play's Data Safety declaration must match it.
How to limit ad tracking
- On your device: open Settings → Google → Ads and turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalisation", or delete your advertising ID entirely. You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised.
- In our apps: where a consent prompt is shown, you may decline personalised advertising, and you can change that choice later in the app's privacy settings.
- Remove ads entirely: buy the one-time "remove ads" item where an app offers it.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own independent marketing. We share the minimum necessary with these categories of service provider:
| Recipient | Purpose | What is shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play & Google Play Billing | App distribution and payment processing on Android | Purchase and account identifiers |
| Apple App Store | App distribution and payment processing on iOS and iPadOS | Purchase and account identifiers |
| Advertising networks | Serving and measuring ads | Advertising ID, device info, coarse location |
| Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics for Firebase) | Understanding feature usage | Pseudonymous usage events, device info |
| Crash reporting (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics) | Diagnosing and fixing crashes | Crash logs, device state |
| Cloud hosting and email providers | Running backend features and support email | Only what those features require |
| Professional advisers and authorities | Legal, tax and regulatory compliance | Only where legally required |
8. Purchase data
When you buy one of our apps or something inside one, Google or Apple processes the payment. The store receives your payment details; we do not. What is passed to us is limited to a purchase token or transaction identifier, the order reference, the product purchased, the amount, the currency and the time of the transaction — enough to deliver the item, restore it on a new device and handle a refund request.
Google's handling of your payment information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. Apple's is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
9. How long we keep information
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Game progress and optional account data | While your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of a deletion request |
| Analytics and usage events | Up to 14 months, in pseudonymous or aggregated form |
| Crash and diagnostic logs | Up to 90 days |
| Support correspondence | Up to 24 months after the issue is closed |
| Purchase and transaction records | As long as tax and accounting law requires, generally 6 years |
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the size of our operation: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, access limited to the people who need it, reputable providers for hosting and analytics, and no storage of payment credentials anywhere in our systems.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected users as required by applicable law.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your information — see our data deletion page
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling for advertising
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (California residents under the CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information, but limiting ad personalisation as described in section 6 gives effect to this right for advertising identifiers.
- Complain to your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these, email support@gamifyapps.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity — usually by confirming the request comes from the email address or Google account tied to the data — before we act. Exercising your rights is free, and we will never treat you differently for doing so.
12. Children's privacy
Some of our titles are rated for general audiences and may appeal to children. Where an app is directed to children, or to a mixed audience including children, we comply with Google Play's Families policy and applicable children's privacy law including COPPA:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for behavioural advertising
- Advertising in child-directed apps is limited to non-personalised, child-appropriate ads served through certified networks
- We do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to play
- Content ratings are assigned through the IARC questionnaire and shown on every Google Play listing
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@gamifyapps.com and we will delete it promptly.
13. International data transfers
We use service providers located in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in a country other than your own.
Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into our providers' terms — to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
14. This website
https://gamifyapps.com is a static informational site. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies, does not run a third-party analytics tag by default, and does not build a profile of you.
The support form on our contact page does not submit to a server — it opens your own email client with the message pre-filled, so nothing is transmitted to us until you press send in your mail app.
Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs, including IP addresses, for a short period for security and abuse prevention. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps, our providers or the law change. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. For material changes we will give notice inside the affected app or by email where we have your address. Continuing to use our apps after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
